Sail Drives

A thru-hull sail-drive is connected to a vertically mounted electric motor for ease of installation.

Battery power can be augmented by a generator

The difference (for us) between sail drive and Z Drive is that Z drives are transom mounted whereas sail drive are thru-hull units.

Currently only offered with a 10Kw motor, they are best suited to small sailing yachts only needing power to go in and out of harbour.
